Organic Indigo Dyeing Farm Retreat

Mark your calendars for my first on-farm weekend-long Indigo Dyeing Retreat!

May 11 & 12, 2019
Lily Springs Farm
Osceola, WI

I’m excited to partner with Lily Springs Farm this Mother’s Day weekend for an organic indigo dyeing retreat. Grab your mom, best friend, sister, parent, neighbor, or yourself, and come join me!

This is a great opportunity to dive deeper into natural dyeing with an organic indigo vat, using both the fructose and iron vat methods which are compostable and organic. You will learn the basics of creating, maintaining, and dyeing with an organic indigo vat using the 1-2-3 indigo vat method. You will learn shibori indigo dyeing techniques using wood blocks, clamps, ties, and stitches, and will walk away with a set of organic tea towels that you hand dyed with indigo, as well as a mini indigo vat to take home and experiment with. In addition to organic tea towels provided, I strongly encourage you to bring fabric or clothing from home that you would like to dye with. Make sure that all fabric you bring to dye with is made from a 100% natural fabric (Linen, Cotton, Silk, or Wool), and is washed.
